Hey Electric Racers, as EV enthusiasts, we know that finding race tracks open to electric vehicles isn’t always a given. While some venues are catching up with the electrification movement, others still face misconceptions or safety concerns that keep EVs off the grid.
Let’s change the narrative by celebrating tracks that welcome EVs and provide a great experience for our community. Whether it’s your go-to for autocross, road racing, or rally, share your favorite EV-friendly tracks here. Feel free to include any details like:
- Track features or layout you love
- Events or series where EVs are represented
- Any personal stories or experiences
I’ll start with my favorite: The Florida International Rally and Motorsports Park (aka “The FIRM”) in Starke, FL. This track is a gem for anyone who loves variety—it offers road racing, rally stages, and even opportunities for driver training.
I’ve always felt welcome there as an EV racer, and while I haven’t specifically spoken to the staff about their opinions on EVs in motorsports, they’ve had a Tesla wall charger just off the track for years now.
A gate attendant also told me there’s talk of a Supercharger installation going in at the airport on the property shared by the track.
The combination of a challenging layout and an inclusive atmosphere makes it my top pick. And my favorite element is the hump on the shoebox for the quick elevation change and cojones/brake test coming back down before the turn.
Now it’s your turn! Let’s build a resource for EV racers looking for tracks that support and celebrate our growing community.
Looking forward to hearing about your favorite spots!
